Young Scientists Conference 2025 - A Forum for Exchanging Views on Private Sector Economic Development in Vietnam


On the afternoon of October 31, 2025, Duy Tan University in Da Nang hosted the 2025 Young Scientists Conference under the theme "Development of the Private Economy in Vietnam - Theoretical and Practical Issues". The event was co-organized by the Vietnam Law School Network (VLSN) in collaboration with the University of Law, Hue University, and Duy Tan University, with the active participation of the Faculty of Law under the School of Languages - Social Sciences & Humanities (LHSS) at Duy Tan University—the unit directly responsible for connecting and coordinating the program.

The conference is an annual scientific activity of the VLSN, gathering young researchers, lecturers, graduate students, and undergraduates from numerous universities across the country to share research results and fresh perspectives on the development of the private economic sector—a key driver of the Vietnamese economy today.

Delivering the welcome address at the Conference, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai - Permanent Deputy Director of Duy Tan University, stated: "Hosting the 2025 Young Scientists Conference is a significant milestone for Duy Tan University in the process of participating in the Vietnam Law School Network. This event demonstrates the University's academic spirit, responsibility, and professionalism, while also providing an opportunity for lecturers and students of the Faculty of Law to interact, learn, and connect with the national legal research community."

Having joined the VLSN in June 2024, Duy Tan University, through its Faculty of Law under the LHSS, has quickly demonstrated a proactive role in professional activities, actively contributing to the promotion of legal research and teaching. Hosting the Young Scientists Conference not only affirms the Faculty's academic standing but also allows Duy Tan law students to engage with practical scientific research, hone their critical thinking, presentation skills, and legal analysis capabilities.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong - Head of the VLSN Executive Committee, highly appreciated the thorough and professional preparation by Duy Tan University. During the program, the Organizing Committee presented flowers, commemorative medals, and certificates to the co-organizing institutions, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and cooperation among network member universities, including Duy Tan University.

Notably, this year's conference also featured the Announcement Ceremony and presentation of Decisions recognizing new members: Thuyloi University and the University of Prosecution. This brings the total number of VLSN members to 68 institutions nationwide, an important milestone affirming the growth and expansion of the Vietnamese legal academic community.

Following the ceremonial segment, the Conference proceeded to specialized presentation sessions with the participation of many young researchers from member universities. Numerous presented research papers focused on practical topics such as: perfecting the legal framework for the private sector, support policies for small and medium-sized enterprises, innovation in private businesses, and enhancing corporate governance capacity in the digital age.

Directly attending, listening, and discussing with scientists helps students better understand the connection between legal theory and practice, while also nurturing a spirit of scientific research and future professional responsibility.
