Leadership Message
Dear Parents and Students,
At the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Duy Tan University, we believe that a humanistic education does not begin with curricula or academic programs. Rather, it begins with a fundamental question: How can we help individuals understand themselves, understand others, and develop the ability to engage confidently with a world that is constantly changing?
Guided by this belief, the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences has grown into an open, inclusive, and human-centered academic community, where knowledge is enriched by cultural understanding and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Dr. Hoang Thi Huong
Acting Rector School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences
Throughout my journey in higher education—as a lecturer, researcher, academic administrator, and now as the leader of an academic institution—I have had the opportunity to view education from multiple perspectives. These experiences have strengthened my belief that students need more than knowledge alone. They need a rigorous, human-centered, and trustworthy academic environment where they can grow through their own abilities. Ultimately, the enduring value of a humanistic education lies in nurturing individuals who think independently, possess critical thinking skills, engage in meaningful dialogue, and have the confidence to integrate into the global community while preserving their own identity.
At the heart of Duy Tan University, the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences (LHSS) is committed to educating highly qualified professionals in the humanities and social sciences to meet the demands of an increasingly interconnected world. Building on four language and foreign language programs, the School has expanded its academic offerings to include Law, International Relations, Vietnamese Studies, Multimedia Communications, Public Relations, and Applied Literature. This interdisciplinary, practice-oriented, and internationally focused curriculum ensures that knowledge is closely connected with societal needs and the evolving demands of today's professions.
Our development strategy is not driven by superficial change or symbolic initiatives. Instead, it is firmly centered on academic excellence, educational quality, and students' capacity to adapt to a rapidly changing world. By integrating theory with practice, combining humanistic education with technology, and adopting student-centered teaching approaches, we aim to equip our students with critical thinking skills, strong linguistic and communication competencies, social and legal awareness, and the qualities of responsible global citizens.

Faculty and Staff of the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences
To us, effective education is not about producing identical graduates; it is about accompanying students on their journey to discover their identity and develop their unique potential. We believe that the success of an educational institution is not measured by its declarations, but by the achievements of its students, the dedication of its faculty, the trust it earns from society, and its commitment to sustainable, meaningful, and people-centered development.
We sincerely hope that when students choose the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Duy Tan University (LHSS–DTU), they will find not only a place to learn, but also an environment that inspires critical thinking, fosters personal growth, and equips them with the knowledge, skills, and values needed for the journey ahead.
