On the evening of July 24, 2026, in the warm and intimate atmosphere by Da Nang Beach, Duy Tan University hosted the Gala Dinner marking the conclusion of the international exchange program Green Steps 2026. More than just a farewell celebration, the event was an opportunity to reflect on the unforgettable journey filled with youthful enthusiasm, friendship, and meaningful experiences shared by students from Sun Moon University (South Korea) and Duy Tan University.

Running from late June to late July 2026, the Green Steps 2026 program offered students from Sun Moon University an unforgettable summer in Central Vietnam. Beyond Vietnamese and English language classes, the program featured a wide range of enriching activities, including team-building events, volunteer work, cultural festivals, and visits to renowned cultural heritage sites and scenic attractions in Da Nang and the ancient capital of Hue. More importantly, the program served as a bridge that brought young people from Vietnam and South Korea closer together, fostering mutual understanding and meaningful connections through shared cultural experiences.

Representing Duy Tan University, Dr. Hoang Thi Huong, Rector of the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences—the unit responsible for the program’s academic activities and events—shared that although the four-week journey was brief, the experiences, knowledge, and above all, the sincere friendships built through Green Steps 2026 would become invaluable memories, giving students greater confidence as they embark on their future journeys around the world.

The Gala Dinner reached an emotional high when a highlight video capturing memorable moments from the program was screened. The audience was taken back to the smiles, the sweat shared during team-building activities, and the initial unfamiliarity that had gradually blossomed into genuine friendship. Following the ceremonial toast to officially open the evening, the atmosphere came alive with youthful energy, joy, and celebration.

The Gala Dinner stage became a showcase for heartfelt performances by talented amateur performers. From cultural music and dance performances to exciting games such as Ball Shake Challenge and the K-Pop Music Battle, followed by the suspense-filled Lucky Number draw, every activity helped break down language barriers. Cheers in both Vietnamese and Korean echoed throughout the venue, transforming the Gala Dinner into a vibrant multicultural celebration filled with friendship and goodwill.

The event concluded with warm embraces and commemorative photos capturing the joyful smiles of faculty members and students from both Vietnam and South Korea. The success of the program further affirmed the reputation, prestige, and international collaboration capabilities of the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences—a place that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures meaningful cross-cultural friendships and inspires young people to connect with the world.
