On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (22/12/1992 - 22/12/2022), Vietnam - Korea School of Information and Communications organized the Beautiful Korean Handwriting contest. After the launching period, the Organizing Committee received a positive response with many works sent by contestants who are students from the Central - Central Highlands region to participate in the contest.
The works have achieved many criteria that the contest offers, sending many meaningful messages that contribute to adorning the strong friendship between Vietnam and Korea. The work of contestant Phan Thi Thuy An class K26NHB2 from the Korean language department, School of Foreign Languages and Humanities, Duy Tan University excellently won the first prize of the contest with a prize of 3,000,000 VND.
Thuy An shared: "Actually, thanks to the teachers in the popular department, I learned about this contest. Because the time was quite rushed and I just thought to join to try myself a little, I was very surprised and did not believe that I had a prize. When I announced that I had won the First Prize, I didn't believe my ears, I accepted the award without hiding my joy."
Thuy An's work brought to this contest is the song "Western Sky - 서쪽하늘 (이승철)". This is a touching song that Thuy An loves very much, the song is about the story of an incomplete love affair. Stepping into the path of learning Korean from the beginning is thanks to her idol - BTS, but to stick with Korean up to now, thanks to the real love that this language brings to her 3rd year student. Because she was exposed to Korean from an early age through movies and music, Thuy An herself has long identified Korean as the language she wants to pursue for the future.
"After a long time studying at the faculty, I realized that I am really lucky to meet teachers who are extremely enthusiastic and enthusiastic, always ready to teach and help whenever we have difficulties or questions. In addition, meet friends who are always by each other's side and support each other to learn and develop together. I'm really grateful to be part of this second little family," Thuy An added.
Being an introvert and quite timid person, this award is a motivation for Thuy An to feel more confident in herself and have more strength to realize her dream on the way to conquer Korea.
