On the morning of April 4, 2026, at Hall 105G, Duy Tan University (120 Hoang Minh Thao, Da Nang), a unique academic space unfolded as dry textbook pages were replaced by the dramatic atmosphere of litigation in a "Mock Trial" – a first-instance hearing of a contract manufacturing dispute.

Realizing the orientation of "Learning goes hand in hand with practice"
This Mock Trial was not merely a routine professional practice session; it was a testament to the consistent orientation of legal education at Duy Tan University: knowledge, attitude, and professional skills must always be integrated. This activity also served as a concrete step in implementing the strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Law, University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS), KPK Law Firm, and the TGAC International Commercial Arbitration Center (Da Nang Branch).
The legal scenario presented was a contract manufacturing dispute for export goods between a trading enterprise and a production unit. With events such as rising raw material prices and machinery breakdowns causing delays, the case opened up complex legal issues regarding delivery obligations, technical standards, and liability for damages.

A "combat-ready" scenario derived from actual commercial disputes
The familiar lecture hall space suddenly became solemn, presided over by the Adjudication Panel. Notably, the participation of experienced experts such as Lawyer Le Thi Xuan Phuong (Presiding Judge of the hearing, former Judge) guided the parties toward key issues, helping students understand the critical importance of evidence and reasoning skills.
The highlight of the program was placing students at the center. Each party in the case involved coordination between practicing lawyers and "student lawyers." The students demonstrated their mettle by presenting decisive arguments and clearly citing legal provisions to protect their clients' interests.

Students grow and mature through each role they undertake
Student Nguyen Thi Van Anh, representing the plaintiff, shared: "This is a valuable opportunity that helped me step out of the textbook pages and truly understand the real pressures businesses face when confronting commercial disputes." Dr. Tran Huu Thu Trang, a People's Juror at the hearing, also expressed pride in the students' remarkable growth when handling complex real-world case files.
Speaking at the trial, Lawyer Ly Vinh Hoang – Head of TGAC's Da Nang Branch, emphasized that integrating practical models into teaching is the fastest way for students to develop legal thinking and professional adaptability. A representative of the LHSS Faculty of Law also expressed deep gratitude for the dedication of the lawyers and arbitrators who brought invaluable practical experiences to Duy Tan students.

A bridge between academic training and professional practice
The Mock Trial concluded in a warm atmosphere with the presentation of meaningful commemorative gifts to outstanding individuals. The resounding success of the event further motivated students to confidently advance on their path toward becoming professional legal practitioners in the future.
