Opening Ceremony of the LHSS Student Sports Festival

On the morning of April 12, 2025, at Linda Sport Stadium, the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences (LHSS) held a grand opening ceremony for the 2025 Student Sports Festival - Olympic LHSS. The event began with an exciting and lively atmosphere, attracting a large number of students, faculty members, and guests.

The Student Sports Festival is an activity designed to provide a healthy platform, improve both physical and mental health for students, and select excellent teams and athletes to represent the school in the Duy Tan University Sports Festival. This year, the festival will take place from April 12 to April 26, featuring a variety of competitions, including football, volleyball, badminton, tug of war, group jump rope, and relay races. The event has attracted a large number of students from 06 faculties to participate, with more than 400 athletes.

The opening ceremony began with the solemn flag-raising ceremony, followed by the opening speech from a representative of the school’s Board of Directors. In her speech, Dr. Hoang Thi Huong, the Acting Vice President of the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, emphasized the importance of sports in comprehensive education. She affirmed that the Sports Festival is not only an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and improve their physical health, but also a chance to strengthen solidarity and foster交流 among the faculties.

Immediately following the opening ceremony, the first matches officially kicked off. On the football field, intense tackles, individual skills, and team strategies were clearly displayed. This year’s Sports Festival is not only a place for students to show their competitive spirit but also an occasion to unite the student community across the university. The enthusiastic support and logistical assistance from the student unions, faculty youth unions, and student clubs have helped create a highly inspiring and student-centered festival.

The LHSS Student Sports Festival will continue over the next two weeks with many exciting matches and unforgettable moments. The results of the competitions will serve as the basis for selecting the best athletes to represent the school in the upcoming Duy Tan University Sports Festival. With the spirit of "Healthy to Study, Healthy to Contribute," this year's Sports Festival promises to be a significant mark in the university's student activities, contributing to spreading the sports spirit, enhancing students' mental well-being, and building a dynamic, positive academic environment.
