On the afternoon of April 24, 2026, students from the Faculty of Chinese Language at the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS), Duy Tan University, had an explosive competition day. With a spirit of learning and confident composure, the LHSS student delegation excellently brought home a series of awards at the program celebrating 2026 "International Chinese Language Day."

The 2026 "International Chinese Language Day" program, themed "Chinese Language: Lighting Up Colorful Dreams," was a large-scale academic and cultural event jointly organized by the University of Foreign Languages and the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Da Nang. The event served not only as a space for interaction among faculty and students from universities in the region but also as a bridge to consolidate friendship and strengthen people-to-people diplomacy through language.

Participating in the festival, students immersed themselves in diverse experiential activities such as calligraphy competitions, film dubbing, Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) wearing, mask painting, and cultural performances. This was an ideal environment for young people to hone their language skills in conjunction with practical cultural experiences. Amidst the vibrant competition from numerous language training institutions in Da Nang, the LHSS Chinese Language Faculty delegation demonstrated their outstanding capabilities with an impressive record of achievements in both areas: language skills and traditional arts.

In the Chinese Film Dubbing competition – which demanded a deep understanding of intonation, expression, and accurate pronunciation – LHSS students made a strong impression on the Judging Panel with their excellent role portrayals, earning 01 Second Prize and 01 Consolation Prize.

Not only excelling in listening and speaking skills, Duy Tan students also showcased their artistic soul and refined taste through the Calligraphy competition. Each graceful brushstroke, imbued with knowledge of Han character culture, secured for the delegation 01 Third Prize and 01 Consolation Prize.

The LHSS Chinese Language Faculty regularly organizes clubs and workshops on culture and translation-interpretation skills, helping students build a solid knowledge foundation. Participating in major events co-organized by the Consulate General is an opportunity for LHSS students to affirm their "integration" capability – one of the core values the university consistently pursues. The awards in film dubbing and calligraphy serve as evidence that Duy Tan students are not only learning Chinese for communication but also studying to deeply understand and preserve the essence of cultural values.
