In a vibrant cultural festival, students from the Korean Language Department at Duy Tan University’s LHSS excelled at the First Central Region Korean Poetry Recitation and Literary Appreciation Competition 2025, winning two Second Prizes and two Third Prizes.

Organizing Committee Takes Commemorative Photos with Contestants

Held on June 6, 2025, the event was co-hosted by the University of Foreign Languages, University of Da Nang, and the Ikchon Gil Dong Mu Cultural Foundation. It drew students from various universities in the Central Region, including Duy Tan University, University of Foreign Languages - Hue University, University of Foreign Languages - University of Da Nang, and Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology.

LHSS students earned notable awards in both competition categories: Korean Poetry Recitation and Korean Literary Appreciation:

• Tran Thi Tuyet Nhi (K29NHB4): Second Prize – Korean Poetry Recitation 
• Do Thi Thao Vy (K27NHB6): Second Prize – Korean Literary Appreciation 
• Ngo Thi Ngoc Nhat (K27NHB1): Third Prize – Korean Literary Appreciation 
• Tran Le Sang (K29NHB5): Third Prize – Korean Poetry Recitation

Tuyet Nhi (Second from the Right) Receives Second Prize in the Korean Poetry Recitation Category

Tuyet Nhi, a second-year student competing for the first time, shared: "I used to doubt myself because of fear, which stopped me from entering competitions as a child. This award showed me that fear can push me to work harder and grow. I learned a lot and met inspiring people whose confidence motivated me to build my own."

Thao Vy (Far Left) Receives Second Prize in the Korean Literary Appreciation Category

Thao Vy, a final-year student, competed in Korean Literary Appreciation, analyzing 『수화를 배우는 시간』, one of seven selected works. She said: "This was my first time with literary appreciation. Reading, reflecting, and writing a personal essay was a rewarding experience that sharpened my thoughts and emotions. Winning Second Prize is an honor and a reward for my hard work. I’m thrilled our department won multiple awards, showing LHSS students’ dedication and talent."
