Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the historic days of March, on the evening of March 26, 2026, the Youth Union of the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS) officially opened its annual Student Sports Festival for 2026. This is the year's largest sporting event, attracting enthusiastic participation from students across all faculties.

The Opening Ceremony of the LHSS 2026 Sports Festival took place amid great excitement from athletes and cheerleaders alike. In her opening speech, Dr. Dang Thuy Lien – Vice Dean of the University – emphasized: "The Sports Festival is not only a platform to cultivate physical fitness following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh, but also an opportunity for students from different faculties to interact, strengthen solidarity, and build a dynamic and robust LHSS community."
The meticulous organization this year was significantly supported by the sponsoring units. The fresh bouquets and commemorative medals presented to partners at the ceremony represented the Organizing Committee's deepest gratitude to the accompanying units that have trusted and supported student movements.

This year, the Sports Festival brought together nearly 100 exemplary athletes competing in a variety of events, including soccer, badminton, volleyball, and mobile league games. The diversity in competition categories reflects the University's commitment to the comprehensive development of students, encompassing both intellect and physical well-being.
Immediately following the conclusion of the Opening Ceremony, all attention turned to the soccer field to witness the first matches. Soccer remains the most anticipated discipline and never disappoints spectators with its dramatic intensity and spirited competition.

In the opening matches, the teams delivered spectacular plays and thrilling score chases. The cheers and encouragement echoing from the stands not only energized the players but also created a true sporting festival atmosphere.

The annual 2026 Student Sports Festival is more than just a quest to find champions for medals. It is also a place to cultivate cherished memories of student life, an occasion for young people to temporarily step away from textbooks and lectures to immerse themselves in the spirit of community.
