LHSS Pride: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen Advances to the Semi-finals of Miss Vietnam Tourism 2026

In the bustling atmosphere welcoming the new school year, the School of Languages & Social Sciences (LHSS) at Duy Tan University has more reason to celebrate. Student Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen, majoring in Chinese Translation and Interpretation, has officially secured a spot in the Semi-finals of Miss Vietnam Tourism 2026. This achievement not only affirms Ngoc Huyen's personal capability and effort but is also a tremendous source of pride for the entire LHSS faculty and student body.

As a final-year student in Chinese Translation and Interpretation, Ngoc Huyen has always nurtured a dream of becoming a bridge for language and culture. For her, the journey in the Miss Vietnam Tourism 2026 pageant is not merely a beauty contest but also an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam's country, people, and tourism to both domestic and international friends.

Ngoc Huyen shared: “From the initial rounds to the semi-finals, I have cultivated greater self-confidence, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the value of our national cultural identity. Most importantly, I've realized that tourism is not just about travel; it's a bridge that connects people and opens the door to integration.” Leveraging her language skills from her major, Huyen has effectively turned her professional knowledge into a strength, boosting her confidence when communicating and presenting herself before the judges and audience.

From a young age, Ngoc Huyen had a fondness for beauty pageants, but she once thought it was a distant dream. It wasn't until she became a student in the Chinese Language Department that she found the motivation and belief to give it a try. Thanks to the encouragement and guidance from her teachers and friends, Ngoc Huyen boldly stepped out of her comfort zone to prove herself. “I see this as an opportunity to discover myself and project an image of a dynamic and confident student. When I heard I had made it to the semi-finals, I was both surprised and truly happy. It is an important milestone, reminding me that I must strive even harder,” Ngoc Huyen confided.

Although she doesn't have much experience in beauty pageants and this is virtually her first time competing on such a large stage, that very newness has provided Huyen with invaluable experiences. Each round is a lesson, and each challenge is an opportunity for growth. And above all, her proficiency in a foreign language has helped Ngoc Huyen feel more confident in expressing her personality, viewpoints, and poise.

The road ahead in the Miss Vietnam Tourism 2026 pageant holds many challenges. However, with her determination, perseverance, and the intellectual foundation built at LHSS, we believe that Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen will continue to shine, spread positive values to the community, and affirm the mark of a Duy Tan University student on major competitive stages.
