On June 5, 2026, at Duy Tan University, the Workshop for Young Researchers themed "From Ideas to Impact" officially opened. The event was part of the series of international conferences on "Climate Change, Health, Vulnerability, and Resilience in Asia." This is clear evidence of the pioneering role of the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS) and the Center for Global Studies (CGS) in connecting academic resources from the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Vietnam.

The event was honored to have the presence of Dr. Vu Ngoc Anh – Research Director at the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen), United Kingdom; Professor Jonathan Rigg from the University of Bristol, UK; Professor Petra Tschakert from the National University of Singapore; and Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Loc – Director of the Social Life Institute.
In her opening speech at the program, Dr. Hoang Thi Huong – Dean of LHSS – emphasized the importance of developing a global research mindset and expressed her hope that this forum was designed not merely to convey knowledge but to serve as the starting point for ideas and future scientific works of practical value.

The workshop program was logically designed to flow from theory to practice, divided into five core themes that ran throughout the day:

Professor Jonathan Rigg presents his topic

Professor Petra Tschakert shares approaches to research design
One of the most distinctive imprints of this workshop was the applicability of science. Research cannot remain only on paper; it must create tangible change for society.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Loc continues the discussion
Beyond the research methodologies shared by international professors, a particular technological highlight that attracted significant attention at the Workshop was the introduction of the AgenTex v1.0 software. This is a proud project authored by Phan Vu Minh Tue (Duy Tan University), offering a breakthrough solution in applying technology to optimize scientific research processes. By liberating researchers from complex manual steps, AgenTex v1.0 promises to become a reliable companion, helping young researchers confidently transform initial ideas into academic products with strong impact on the global community.

The Young Researchers' Workshop: From Ideas to Impact concluded with resounding success, paving the way for the official International Conference the following day. The success of the first working day once again affirmed the organizational capacity, strategic vision, and strong international networking role of the University of Languages and Social Sciences and the Center for Global Studies. This will certainly serve as a foundation for Duy Tan University to continue affirming its leading position on the map of scientific research and knowledge transfer in the region.
