Spring is fast approaching, and the atmosphere of Tet Nguyen Dan 2025 is permeating everywhere. To welcome a new year filled with joy and new hopes, on the evening of December 21, 2024, the Chinese Language Department of the School of Languages – Humanities and Social Sciences (SL-HSS), Duy Tan University, held a New Year Gala to create a cheerful and cozy space connecting all faculty members and students in the Chinese Language family.

Attending the program were Mr. Duong Thuan Phong – Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Da Nang, Mr. Te Hong Vien – Assistant to the Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate, Mr. David – Director of QP Factory, Mr. Luu Dien – Human Resources Director, Mr. Tran Tong – Director of AUO Company, and Mr. Luu Tran Lam – Assistant to the Human Resources Director. Representing the School of Languages – Humanities and Social Sciences were Dr. Dang Thuy Lien – Head of the Chinese Language Department, Dr. Hoang Thi Thom – Vice Head of the Chinese Language Department, Ms. Truong Thi Nhu Hang, MA – Head of the General Administration Office, along with numerous faculty members and students who came to attend.
Joining the bustling atmosphere of the Gala night and to encourage the spirit of overcoming difficulties in learning among the students of the Chinese Language Department, QP Vietnam Co., Ltd. awarded scholarships to students with a total value of 20,000,000 VND and was also the sponsor of the program.

The 2025 New Year Gala of the Chinese Language Department has become an indispensable annual event, attracting the participation of many faculty members and students. This is an opportunity for all members of the department to look back on the past year and welcome a new year with much hope and many new goals. This year’s program was especially notable for its two standout competitions: Performing Arts and Elegance, offering not only impressive artistic performances but also a chance for students to show their grace and style.
The Gala night featured 22 performing arts acts. The dance and singing performances were all presented in Chinese, showcasing the students’ language proficiency and the meticulous preparation invested in each act. In the Performing Arts segment, the organizers awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes.

In addition to the Performing Arts segment, the Elegance competition was among the special highlights of this year’s Gala. The contestants truly shone when they appeared in traditional attire, from Vietnamese ao dai to elegant suits and evening gowns. These young men and women not only impressed the audience with their charming appearances but also demonstrated knowledge and confidence in the Q&A session. In the end, the Organizing Committee presented 1 first prize, 1 second prize, and 1 third prize, along with 3 supplementary awards (Q&A, Talent, Impressive) to the contestants.

When the Gala concluded, the cheerful, warm, and inspiring atmosphere lingered in the hearts of every participant. The Gala truly became a beautiful milestone, affirming the power of the teacher-student bond, the spirit of unity, and the pride of the Chinese Language Department at the School of Languages – Humanities and Social Sciences, Duy Tan University.
