On the afternoon of November 13, 2025, at Mikazuki Hotel (Da Nang), the Japan Kanagawa Festival 2025 took place in a vibrant, youthful atmosphere filled with Japanese cultural colors. Students from the Japanese Language Faculty of the School of Languages & Social Sciences and Humanities (LHSS), Duy Tan University, made a remarkable impression by excellently winning the Second Prize in the Japanese speech contest held within the festival's framework.

The Japan Kanagawa Festival is organized annually by Kanagawa Prefecture (Japan) to foster cultural and educational connections with provinces and cities across Vietnam. A highlight of the festival's event series is the Japanese speech contest, where participants present their viewpoints on topical, educational, or cultural themes. With their confident command of Japanese, well-structured arguments, and outstanding presentation skills, the LHSS student team comprising Diep The Khai, Mai Thi Thu Huyen, Cao Gia Huy, and Pham The Manh captivated the Judging Panel and convincingly secured the Second Prize.

The LHSS students' speech impressed with its natural delivery, emphasizing the role of cultural connection in the era of globalization, while also highlighting the progressive spirit of Vietnamese youth in their journey of studying and working in Japan. Beyond linguistic competence, their performance demonstrated a deep understanding of Japanese culture, problem-analysis skills, and persuasive presentation abilities all crucial competencies for students in language and cross cultural communication fields.

Through the festival, students not only enhanced their Japanese proficiency but also practiced essential skills for global academic and professional environments, including communication, critical thinking, public speaking, and situational problem solving. This foundation helps them become more confident in pursuing opportunities for study abroad, internships, or employment in Japan.

The achievement at this year's contest will undoubtedly provide further motivation for students to continue striving and also contribute to enhancing LHSS's image in international exchange and cooperation activities.
