DTU 2026 MC Talent Final Round: The Journey of Unleashing Confidence and Mastering the Stage of Duy Tan Students


On the afternoon of May 10, 2026, the Final Round of the "DTU 2026 MC Talent Search" competition took place in an exceptionally vibrant and exciting atmosphere. Surpassing many promising candidates, contestant Thai Tran Anh Tuan – Cohort K31, Public Relations major, University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS) – excellently rose to the top position, concluding a journey full of effort and passion.

The "DTU 2026 MC Talent Search" competition was not merely a talent contest but also a genuine experiential space for students passionate about arts, culture, and media. Here, young people had the opportunity to challenge themselves, develop creative thinking, and master essential soft skills.

The Top 4 respond to situational handling scenarios.

The program was attended by LHSS leadership, along with representatives from sponsoring units including Dragon Tiên Sa Academy, Hang Đôi Production, Vyna Makeup Artist & Academy, and partner units ABC Entertainment and BiFlash Academy. In her opening speech, Dr. Hoang Thi Huong – Dean of LHSS – emphasized that the most outstanding talents today would become potential representatives for the University's future events.

  • The Final Round witnessed the competition of 12 of the most confident contestants through three challenging rounds: Individual Performance, Pair Performance, and Situational Handling.
  • Individual Performance: Each contestant had 3 minutes to demonstrate their thinking and hosting skills based on a randomly selected keyword, including: Change, Key, Challenge, Voice, Passion, Shine.
  • Pair Performance: The harmonious coordination between pairs created captivating simulated television programs. The audience experienced a range of emotions, from the reality TV shows "Transformation Journey" and "Build & Break" to contemporary gameshows like "Gen Z Voice – A New Era" and deeply humane charity programs such as "Ignite, Shine Bright."

The Judging Panel worked with utmost impartiality to evaluate the versatility, flexibility, and stage presence of the contestants. After the two main rounds, the Top 4 most outstanding contestants emerged to enter the Situational Handling round. Here, the contestants faced unexpected stage incidents devised by the Organizing Committee. This was the moment when the composure and practical experience of an emcee were most clearly revealed. Their agility in improvisation earned them absolute points from the professional judging panel.

As the competition night concluded, the hall erupted with excitement as the winners of the prestigious awards were announced:

  • Champion: Thai Tran Anh Tuan (ULSS) – With his distinguished style and powerful voice, Anh Tuan completely convinced the judging panel, receiving a prize of 2,000,000 VND and a 10,000,000 VND training scholarship from Dragon Tiên Sa Academy. Anh Tuan shared: "The moment my name was announced as the Champion of the 'DTU 2026 MC Talent Search' is perhaps one of the most beautiful memories of my youth. I am grateful for this journey – which gave me the opportunity to learn and connect with so many people. This title is not only a victory but also motivation for me to continue striving and pursuing my passion for holding the microphone."
  • First Runner-up: Nguyen Hoang Gia Huy (ULSS) – Impressing with his sharpness and stage charm.
  • Second Runner-up: Phan Hong Anh (ULSS) – An energetic and creative contestant.

In addition to the main prizes, the Organizing Committee also awarded the "Most Favorite Contestant" prize to Nguyen Hoang Thai (School of Tourism) and the "Promising Contestant" prize to Pham Nha Vy (School of Tourism).

The competition concluded with resounding success, not only discovering future "leaders" but also affirming the commitment of Duy Tan University in general and ULSS in particular to creating beneficial academic playgrounds for students.

Every contestant in the Top 12 was already a winner for daring to step out of their comfort zone to shine.
