"Depart to Break Through, Return to Share": Launching the Core Alumni Network of LHSS

On the afternoon of June 18, 2026, the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS), Duy Tan University, successfully organized a meaningful student gathering with the theme "Depart to Break Through, Return to Share." The event was not only an opportunity for generations of teachers and students to sit together and reflect on the journey passed but also a forum for open, candid dialogue to empower those preparing to step into the professional world.

Through an interactive system and QR codes, the University leadership listened to very candid and incisive feedback from outstanding students. From their most cherished experiences during their learning journey to direct suggestions and recommendations aimed at improving training programs, methods of applying technology/AI in teaching, and upgrading student care services – all were received by the University with a spirit of openness and the highest sense of responsibility.

The emotional highlight of the gathering was the presence of previous generations of alumni – living testaments to the training quality and the spirit of LHSS.

  • Le Thi Thuy Nga (K24 Alumna, Faculty of Law): Currently working at a reputable law firm, Thuy Nga brought to the hall invaluable "real-combat" experiences from stepping out of the lecture hall into the labor market. She affirmed that the solid knowledge foundation and critical thinking honed at LHSS are the weapons that help alumni confidently assert their position before demanding employers.
  • A Journey of Dedication in a New Role: The hall was also powerfully inspired by the stories of two outstanding alumni who chose to return to the university to continue the noble profession of education: Mr. Nguyen Van Ha (K25 Alumnus, Faculty of Chinese Language) and Mr. Lai Tan Nam (K26 Alumnus, Faculty of English). Having once sat where the current students sit, now standing on the lecture podium as lecturers, they represent the clearest symbol of the spirit of continuing the legacy and the academic flame passed down continuously at the LHSS home.

The impressive highlight of the gathering was the formal ceremony to activate the Core Alumni Network of the University of Languages and Social Sciences. The University made a commitment: the university gates close when you graduate, but a larger door – the alumni network – will open to continue accompanying you. The University will always stand behind to support alumni by connecting postgraduate scholarships and introducing cooperation opportunities with major enterprises.

Conversely, this is also a place to connect strengths so that after they "break through" and venture out, the mature "children" will one day "return to share" – standing in a new position to share experiences, guide, and uplift the younger generations that follow.

Accompanying the students as they step into life, the Board of Rectors presented each student with inspiring books by the Chairman of the University Council. The gathering concluded with radiant smiles and warm embraces. This year's outstanding LHSS students will surely fly high and far, but in their luggage, the pride and the bond with their alma mater will always be their most steadfast support.
