Cultural Exchange between Vietnam and Korea: A Bridge Connecting Duy Tan University and Dongsan Welfare Center


On the morning of February 19, 2025, the cultural exchange program between Vietnam and Korea, welcoming the Dongsan Welfare Center, was successfully held at 120 Hoang Minh Thao campus, Duy Tan University, Da Nang. The event not only served as a bridge connecting the two cultures but also provided meaningful experiences for students from both countries.

The program was attended by Professor Lee Jang Won, Director of Dongsan Welfare Center, along with the accompanying professors, Mr. Kim Dong Hwan, Director of the JEC Korean Language Center, and representatives from Duy Tan University including Ms. Tran Thi Van, Vice Dean of the Korean Language Department, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan, Deputy Head of the Korean Language Department, alongside faculty members and students from both the Dongsan Welfare Center and the Department of Korean Language, Faculty of Languages - Social Sciences, Duy Tan University.

Mr. Byeon Jong Geon, representative of the Dongsan Youth Welfare Center, shared his remarks: “The Dongsan Youth Welfare Center strives to support the development of young people and provide opportunities for people worldwide to learn, exchange, and understand each other’s cultures. We are truly honored that Korean students have the opportunity to interact with Duy Tan University students. I believe this is a valuable opportunity for students to preserve their dreams. We hope that through this program, we will not only share languages and cultures but also become good friends and positively influence each other. We also look forward to listening to each other’s stories and growing together.”

The cultural exchange program between the students from both universities left a remarkable impression. On stage at the auditorium, participants engaged in artistic performances blending traditional and modern elements. The performances included Kpop dances by Duy Tan University students, drum performances, solo songs, and Flashmob dances by the Korean students, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.

Ms. Tran Thi Van and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan presented flowers and souvenirs to the representatives of the Dongsan Youth Welfare Center and the JEC Korean Language Center. This gesture was not only a recognition of past efforts but also a motivation to continue maintaining and developing the strong relationship in the future.
