Colors - Songs - Dreams: The 2026 New Year Gala Marks Many Unforgettable Moments

On the afternoon of December 6, 2025, the Chinese Language Faculty at the University of Languages and Social Sciences (ULSS), Duy Tan University, organized the 2026 New Year Gala. This event is one of the faculty's traditional activities geared towards the student community, serving as a space for cultural exchange and expanding cooperative relationships with enterprises and international organizations. The event attracted over 550 students, along with representatives from the Chinese Consulate General, university leadership, and partner units.

More than just an annual arts event, this year's Gala was held within the context of celebrating the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations. In her opening speech, Dr. Dang Thuy Lien, Vice-Dean of ULSS cum Head of the Chinese Language Faculty, emphasized that the Gala affirms the faculty's efforts in expanding the learning environment. It creates a space for students to hone their Chinese language skills, explore culture, and enhance career opportunities.

A highlight of this year's Gala was the scholarship awarding ceremony from partner enterprises, including HanHai Vietnam Co., Ltd., QP Vietnam Co., Ltd., and the Shanghe (Liaoning, China) Chinese Language Center. Enterprise representatives shared their desire to continue accompanying students in career orientation while creating more internship and job opportunities in 2026. Notably, the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang presented ten scholarships, totaling 100 million VND, to ten outstanding faculty students. This meaningful support further encourages students to strive in their studies and develop professional skills.

The Chinese Language Faculty's 2026 New Year Gala was marked by a series of thoughtfully curated, multi-style, and creatively spirited performances. Classes brought diverse colors: from an energetic opening atmosphere and classical Chinese melodies to cinematic mashups, contemporary dance, modern music, and emotionally rich musical arrangements. Performances such as historical costume dance, unique music mashups, and spring-themed dances created a continuous flow of emotions, ranging from epic and profound to explosive moments.

Another bright spot of the Gala was the Elegance Contest. Contestants demonstrated confidence, professional poise, and mastery of the stage. Traditional Ao Dai and splendid evening wear were showcased in diverse styles, highlighting the elegant and graceful beauty of the Chinese Language Faculty students. Each contestant brought their unique personality, creating captivating moments for the audience.

The 2026 New Year Gala left a deep impression and serves as a promising start to the new year for the faculty's teachers and students. From its artistic imprint to its spirit of connection and career orientation, the event reflects the growth of the students and the faculty's relentless efforts in enhancing training quality.
