On the afternoon of December 6, 2025, the Chinese Language Faculty at the University of Languages and Social Sciences (ULSS), Duy Tan University, hosted the 2026 New Year Gala. This event stands as one of the Faculty's traditional activities aimed at the student community, simultaneously creating a cultural exchange space and expanding cooperative relationships with businesses and international organizations. The event attracted over 550 students, along with representatives from the Chinese Consulate General, university leadership, and accompanying partners.

More than just an annual artistic activity, this year's Gala was held within the context of commemorating the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations. In her opening remarks, Dr. Dang Thuy Lien, Vice-Dean of ULSS cum Head of the Chinese Language Faculty, emphasized that the Gala is an event affirming the Faculty's efforts to expand the learning environment, creating a space for students to hone their Chinese language proficiency, explore culture, and enhance career opportunities.
One of the highlights of this year's Gala was the scholarship awarding ceremony from partner enterprises, including HanHai Vietnam Company Limited, QP Vietnam Company Limited, and the Shanghe (Liaoning, China) Chinese Language Center. Enterprise representatives shared their desire to continue accompanying students in career orientation while creating more internship and job opportunities in 2026. Notably, the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang presented 10 scholarships, valued at a total of 100 million VND, to 10 exemplary students of the Faculty. This represents meaningful and practical support, further encouraging students to continue striving in their studies and developing professional skills.

The Chinese Language Faculty's 2026 New Year Gala was marked by a series of thoughtfully invested, multi-style, and creatively spirited artistic performances. The classes brought forth a diverse array of colors: from the vibrant opening atmosphere and classic Chinese melodies to cinematic mashups, contemporary dance performances, modern music, and emotionally rich arrangements. Performances such as historical costume dance, distinctive music mashups, and spring dance sequences created a continuous flow of emotion—at times heroic, at times profound, and at times explosive.

Another bright spot of the Gala was the Elegance Contest segment. Contestants displayed confidence, professional demeanor, and a command of the stage. Traditional Ao Dai and splendid evening wear were presented in diverse styles, highlighting the elegant and graceful beauty of the Chinese Language Faculty students. Each contestant brought their unique personality, creating moments that captivated the audience.

The 2026 New Year Gala left a deep emotional impression and serves as a promising beginning to the new year for the teachers and students of the Chinese Language Faculty. From its artistic imprint to its spirit of connection and career orientation, the event demonstrates the students' maturation and the Faculty's relentless effort in enhancing the quality of education.
