On the morning of January 12, 2025, the Japan Cultural Exchange Event: Spring Calligraphy 2025 and a networking session with students who had completed their internship programs in Japan attracted a large number of students from Duy Tan University.

Students from Duy Tan University had the opportunity to engage in conversations and ask numerous questions to their peers who had just completed their internship programs in Japan.

This event provided an opportunity for Duy Tan University students to learn, interact, and share experiences from their internships in Japan, while also exploring the unique cultural aspects of Japanese Calligraphy during the pre-Tết period of the Year of the Snake (At Ty) 2025.

At the event, Duy Tan University students had the opportunity to interact with and ask numerous questions to their peers who had recently finished their internships in Japan.

The event also served as an opportunity for young people at Duy Tan University to explore the art of calligraphy under the guidance of calligraphy experts from Japan.

After completing their internships in the land of cherry blossoms, students from various fields such as Pharmacy, Electrical Engineering, and Food Technology shared valuable lessons and insights drawn from the Japanese way of life and work.

In addition to learning practical and insightful experiences from their time studying and interning in Japan, Duy Tan University students also explored the differences in language, culture, climate, living environment, cuisine, and more. This experience allowed them to better prepare for upcoming internship programs in Japan.

The event also provided an opportunity for Duy Tan University students to learn about the art of calligraphy under the guidance of Japanese calligraphy experts.

The calligraphy experts and lecturers from Duy Tan University provided guidance to students on how to grind ink, maintain proper posture, hold the brush correctly, and create both thin and thick strokes.

The event was also a chance for Duy Tan University students to explore the art of calligraphy under the guidance of two calligraphy experts: Mr. Satou, CEO of Sun Frontier Vietnam, and Mr. Noguchi, Lecturer of the Japanese Language Department at Duy Tan University.

The experts shared valuable information about the origins, development, popular writing styles, and the beauty of the calligraphy art form. This traditional art requires patience, precision, and a deep understanding of the language being expressed.

This event offered Duy Tan University students a chance to experience the unique cultural aspects of Japanese calligraphy during the pre-Tết period of the Year of the Snake (Ất Tỵ) 2025.

According to the experts, calligraphy not only showcases the skill of writing beautifully but also reflects the writer’s personality through elegant strokes that resemble a phoenix dancing or a dragon soaring, revealing the writer's state of mind.

This event offered Duy Tan University students a chance to experience the distinctive cultural art of calligraphy just before the Tết holiday of the Year of the Snake 2025.

After viewing outstanding calligraphy and calligraphy paintings, and listening to the experts demonstrate beautiful techniques and perform elegant brush strokes, Duy Tan University students were excited to practice calligraphy themselves and create their own “works of art.”

Ms. Le Thi Hoai Thanh, a Nursing student at Duy Tan University, shared: "Participating in the Japan Cultural Exchange Event: Spring Calligraphy 2025, my friends and I had a very enjoyable and exciting experience on the first day of the year.

In addition to hearing many valuable experiences from seniors who had just completed their internships in Japan, we also had the chance to learn about calligraphy from our professors. I hope to have more opportunities to participate in meaningful and interesting activities like this to further explore and learn new things."

Turning to the art of calligraphy as a traditional and elegant pastime during the early spring is not only a way to honor the rich cultural values of our nation but also an opportunity for Duy Tan University students and lecturers to contribute to the lively, poetic, and meaningful atmosphere of the New Year.
