With the support and recommendation of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang, the Japanese Department has connected with The Nippon Foundation to apply for the Read Japan Project. After completing the documents and procedures required by The Nippon Foundation, the Faculty of Japanese was awarded 80 foreign language books related to Japanese and English training as well as information related to the country, society, culture... Japan.
Duy Tan University receives book donation table from Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang
On the morning of 21/12/2022, the Japanese language department of The School of Foreign Languages and Humanities, Duy Tan University held a book donation ceremony from the Japan International Exchange Fund to Duy Tan University. Attending the program, there were the presence of Ms. Teramoto - Consul in charge of Economic Culture under the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang and assistant Nguyen Thi Cam Nhung. On the side of DTU, there is Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu - Vice Rector of Duy Tan University, Ph.D. Hoang Thi Huong - Permanent Vice Rector of the School of Foreign Languages and Humanities MSc. Ton Nu Minh Chau - Permanent Deputy Dean of the Japanese Language Department, and a large number of lecturers and students of the Japanese language department.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Teramoto said: "The Read Japan Project of the Japan International Exchange Fund has been implemented since 2008, and has awarded more than 1100 units around the world. Understanding the value and meaning of this program, the Consulate General of Japan has recommended and supported units wishing to receive it. We are delighted that there are many students who are interested in Japan and are studying the language at DTU. These books are written in English, we hope this valuable resource is not only useful for Japanese students but also valuable for students of other disciplines. 2023 is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of exchanges between Vietnam and Japan.

Through the donation of English-language books on Japan to educational and research institutions worldwide, this project promotes the understanding of Japan by foreign leaders and knowledge classes who are not in the field of Japanese language or Japanese studies. History, culture, diplomacy, politics,..., will be stored in the library of Duy Tan University.
