With the goal of promoting the scientific research movement among students, on November 5, 2025, the English Faculty of the University of Languages and Social Sciences (ULSS), Duy Tan University, successfully organized a Workshop on "Guiding Students in Scientific Research." The event took place in a vibrant atmosphere, providing students with valuable knowledge, inspiration, and motivation to begin their academic research journey.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Hanh – Head of the English Faculty, along with lecturers, outstanding students, and prominent figures in the Faculty's scientific research activities. At the workshop, students received specific guidance on the process of conducting a scientific research project – from topic selection, proposal development, and data collection to presenting research results. The lecturers also patiently addressed questions regarding benefits, academic opportunities, and career development orientation through research activities.
Notably, practical insights shared by students who had previously conducted scientific research projects provided a vivid and relatable perspective. They recounted their challenging yet rewarding journey when first stepping onto the research path. Lessons about generating ideas, overcoming difficulties, and sustaining passion became a powerful source of inspiration for the next generation of English Faculty students.
Beyond academic aspects, the program was enlivened with sweet musical performances, lively mini-games, and interactive activities between faculty and students. All of these created a cohesive, friendly yet academically rich atmosphere, embodying the dynamic spirit characteristic of Duy Tan University students.
With the eagerness to learn and the determination of both faculty and students, the English Faculty promises to continue maintaining and expanding academic activities, workshops, and research clubs to build a dynamic, creative, and research-oriented learning environment.
