No longer confined to academic theories, the 2026 Student Scientific Research Conference of the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS) became a true "arena of intellect." Here, hot topics of the digital era such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cryptocurrency, and Educational Technology were dissected by young researchers from sharp, multi-dimensional perspectives.
The event marked a significant shift in students' scientific thinking: proactive, bold, and closely attuned to the real currents of society. In her opening and orientation remarks, Dr. Hoang Thi Huong – Dean of LHSS – shared: "The marked improvement in the quality of this year's reports places a tremendous responsibility on the Evaluation Council. Each decision of the Council is not only an acknowledgment of a research project but also a direction for students' academic research."
Under the rigorous evaluation of two professional councils, research groups had to defend their arguments against intellectually demanding counter-questions. Beyond high academic merit, the councils placed particular emphasis on the applicability and problem-solving capacity of each research topic in real-world contexts.
After serious working sessions by the professional councils, the Organizing Committee officially announced the five most outstanding research topics, representing the intellect and capability of the University of Languages and Social Sciences to compete at the Duy Tan University-level Scientific Research Conference:
- Digital Law Category: The topic "Cryptocurrency Transactions in Vietnam – Current Situation and Recommendations for Legal Improvement" – conducted by students Duong Thi Tuyet Ngan and Nguyen Son Hai Duyen (Faculty of Law). This research directly addresses the legal gaps in one of today's hottest financial trends.
- Intersection of Technology & Humanities Category: The topic "Analyzing the Transformation of Character Images in Some Modern Vietnamese Literary Works When Recreated by Artificial Intelligence" – conducted by student Nguyen Thi Thanh Thu (Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities). A bold experiment using AI algorithms to examine traditional literary perspectives.
- Procedural Law Category: The topic "The Defendant's Right to Counterclaim in Civil Procedure" – conducted by the student group Le Thao Nguyen Huong, Truong Nguyen Bao Chau, Tran Thi Thanh Hien, and Le Thi Hong Van (Faculty of Law). The topic was highly evaluated by the council for its practicality and depth of legal technical analysis.
- Educational Technology (EdTech) Category: The topic "Applying Digital Storytelling to Enhance Interest and Listening-Speaking Skills for Preschool Children" – conducted by student Nguyen Thanh Dat (Faculty of English). The project carries high humanistic value by modernizing language acquisition approaches for the preschool generation.
- Applied Linguistics Category: The topic "Applying the AIDOUBAO Assistant to Enhance Chinese Oral Communication Skills for Duy Tan University" – conducted by the student group Huynh Thi Thao Ly and Dam Thi Mai (Faculty of Chinese Language). A practical technology solution that optimizes foreign language learning within the academic environment.
The fact that young people confidently selected and addressed difficult, contemporary topics demonstrates the university's increasingly international-standard training quality.
The LHSS 2026 Student Scientific Research Conference concluded successfully, continuing to affirm the dynamic, creative, and constantly innovating academic environment of the university. The event not only ignited the flame of scientific passion in students but also prepared solid groundwork for them to become capable global citizens, ready to adapt and contribute to society.
