In Duy Tan University's educational internationalization strategy, the Japan Internship Program has become a "golden door" opening practical experience opportunities for capable students. The standout figure who has just inscribed her name into a promising journey in Ibaraki Prefecture is Van Dinh Tam Dan – a Cohort K28 student of the Multimedia Communications program, University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS).

Van Dinh Tam Dan is a typical exemplar of the new-generation student model: professionally skilled, linguistically proficient, and dynamic in extracurricular activities. With an impressive GPA of 3.68 and three consecutive years achieving the title of Outstanding Student, Tam Dan has built a solid knowledge foundation since her time at university.

Possessing a JLPT N3 Japanese language certificate, Tam Dan confidently conquered the rigorous selection process to secure a paid internship position at Omoide Romankan – one of the professional resorts in Japan. Beyond numbers, Tam Dan's talent was also affirmed through the group award "Best Cinematography" at ASEAN Unifest 2025, evidence of her aesthetic thinking and keen visual technical skills.

Before venturing into the wider world, Tam Dan underwent an impressive journey of forging her mettle in Da Nang. In the roles of Head of the Events Committee of the DTU JC CHANCE Journalism & Communication Club (2022-2023) and Head of the Content Committee of the T.I.M Media Club (2024-2025), this young woman directly managed numerous influential media projects.

Tam Dan's imprint also extends across international races such as the Danang International Marathon and Ironman 70.3 Vietnam as Head of the Operations Coordination Team. Notably, her community responsibility as a K28 student was also demonstrated through the campaign "The Universe in Our Hands" supporting orphans and positive contributions to campaigns such as "Green Summer" and "Spring Comes to the Village." Tam Dan also once represented her Club to share about volunteer campaigns at an exhibition within the framework of the Concert "Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai 2024," affirming her position as a promising young media leader.

In the upcoming Ibaraki Prefecture, Tam Dan will enter a one-year internship with various work content closely linked to her Multimedia Communications expertise. This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese student to directly participate in image promotion, creating PR content for the hotel, while honing customer response skills according to the stringent standards of the Japanese service industry.

Sharing her feelings before the trip, Tam Dan expressed: "For me, a one-year internship in Japan is not merely a trip abroad, but a major turning point for me to step out of my comfort zone and directly experience a professional, internationally standardized working environment. From there, I hope to further refine both my language skills and the refined aesthetic thinking of the Japanese people."

Looking back on the past three years, Tam Dan always holds sincere gratitude for the learning environment at LHSS – where there are no boundaries for creativity and international opportunities are always wide open. The university's support in providing access to major competitions and global cooperation programs has been an important launchpad helping her confidently integrate.

The journey ahead in Japan will certainly bring many challenges, but with her forged mettle, Van Dinh Tam Dan believes this will be a period of remarkable personal growth. The valuable experiential values in service thinking and international communications will be the baggage for Tam Dan to return and make practical contributions to the community and the development of the nation's media industry.
