The Japanese Language Faculty at the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS), Duy Tan University, received joyful news when two students, Le Thi Thuy Tien (K31NNB) and Nguyen Duc Hoi (K30NNB), successfully passed rigorous selection rounds to win 100% full-exchange scholarships under the Japan Study Visit Program sponsored by the Japan Foundation (JF).
The Japan Study Visit Program for Partner Students is a prestigious scholarship organized by the Japan Foundation (JF). The program aims to support outstanding students in Japanese Studies to enhance their practical Japanese language proficiency, deepen their understanding of modern Japanese culture and society, and develop a global mindset to become future international human resources.
Accordingly, the two students, Le Thi Thuy Tien and Nguyen Duc Hoi, will participate in a 44-day training program at the Kansai International Center (Osaka Prefecture, Japan), from July 7, 2026, to August 19, 2026. Each full-exchange scholarship from the JF covers the following expenses:
- 100% round-trip economy class international airfare and related immigration taxes.
- Full tuition fees, learning materials, and specialized textbooks throughout the 44 days.
- Free accommodation in single rooms at the modern dormitory of the Kansai International Center and hotels during field trips.
- Living and meal allowance valued at 2,700 Yen/day, along with international travel accident insurance for the entire journey.

Throughout the 44 days of study in Osaka, Thuy Tien and Duc Hoi will join international students in a diverse integrated training program. A distinctive feature of the course is its interactive teaching methodology, where students discuss topics related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), engage in proactive teamwork, and deliver final summary presentations.
Alongside classroom learning, the two LHSS students will also participate in study tours, visit partner organizations and universities, interact directly with local communities, and engage in both traditional and modern Japanese cultural experiences. Upon returning to Vietnam after completing the program, they will serve as "connecting ambassadors," sharing their experiences and inspiring the Duy Tan University student community.

Duc Hoi shared: "The experience in Japan truly exceeded my expectations. Beyond the meaningful lessons on SDGs, the moments visiting an elementary school, having lunch together, and joining the children in cleaning their classroom helped me feel more deeply the beauty of the culture and people here. Despite differences in nationality or language, the warmth of the teachers and the open-minded spirit of international friends brought us together. The journey left me not only with knowledge but also with cross-border friendships."
The achievement of Thuy Tien and Duc Hoi is not only a well-deserved reward for their diligent individual efforts but also clear evidence of the quality of teaching and the sound international integration orientation of the Faculty and the University.
