On the afternoon of July 15, 2026, at the Hall of Building G, 120 Hoang Minh Thao Campus, Duy Tan University vibrantly organized a Cultural Exchange Festival. This was one of the prominent cultural exchange events within the framework of the annual exchange program between Sun Moon University (South Korea) and Duy Tan University, running from June 29 to July 24, 2026.
The academic and cultural exchange program between Sun Moon University and Duy Tan University is not only aimed at cultivating knowledge but also serves as a space for students of both nations to understand each other's cultural identities. This year's Cultural Festival was designed as a journey of living heritage discovery, helping Korean students gain deeper access to the cultural beauty and rich culinary traditions not only of Da Nang city but also of many provinces and ethnic groups across Vietnam.
In her opening speech, Dr. Truong Thi Nhu Hang – Head of the General Administration Office of the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS) – shared that the greatest value of the festival lies not in the scale of the booths, but in the smiles, the handshakes, and the deep understanding between the young generations of the two countries – the ambassadors who will continue to preserve and develop the Vietnam-Korea friendship in the future.
Immediately following the opening ceremony, the Hall of Building G truly transformed into a colorful festival space themed "Cuisine and Distinctive Culture of Vietnamese Provinces." The booths were meticulously prepared, displaying many specialty dishes, traditional items, and typical costumes from various regions of Vietnam. Students from both universities had exciting moments as they dressed in traditional Vietnamese attire and captured radiant commemorative photos together.
If the regional culinary space offered unique gastronomic experiences, it was the direct interaction through folk games and the talent performances that truly touched the hearts of the international students. The cultural fusion became even more vibrant as students from both nations immersed themselves in interactive folk games such as stick tossing and group jump rope. Cheers and encouragement in both Vietnamese and Korean resonated continuously whenever a group successfully completed the challenge of 10 consecutive rope jumps, erasing all barriers of nationality.
The festival was not merely a playground for local students but truly became a place where Korean young people gained a deeper understanding and appreciation of Vietnam's heritage values. The success of the Cultural Exchange Festival further affirms the reputable international bridging role of the University of Languages and Social Sciences, Duy Tan University, in creating sustainable global educational values.
