Taking a break from the familiar lecture hall environment and the bustling pace of city life, the faculty and staff of the University of Languages and Social Sciences (LHSS), Duy Tan University, embarked on an emotionally rich journey at the Thung lũng gió (Wind Valley) eco-tourism site in Hoa Bac. The 2025-2026 Summer Community Retreat program was not merely a getaway to escape the summer heat but also a bridge to strengthen solidarity and replenish fresh energy on the threshold of the new academic year.

Stepping away from the rapid pace of urban life and familiar classroom spaces, the LHSS faculty and staff sought the pristine, fresh air of Hoa Bac's countryside. Immediately upon arriving at Wind Valley, the atmosphere of the trip quickly became vibrant with lively team-building activities taking place right at the lake area.

Departing from their usual polished, serious image on the lecture podium, the teachers filled the entire space with laughter as they enthusiastically participated in physical games. Seamless coordination, skillful moves interspersed with humorous "falls into the water" completely dissolved all distance. The most explosive highlight of the afternoon was the uniquely creative "Catwalk on the Lake" performance. The spontaneity, confident presence, and creative strides of the lecturer "models" on the water received endless applause and cheers, creating an atmosphere more youthful and energetic than ever.

As dusk settled over the valley, the community retreat atmosphere shifted to more reflective and warm moments around an outdoor BBQ dinner. By the flickering campfire amidst the tranquil mountain forest setting, the faculty sat together, sharing reflections after a year of dedicated contributions.

The rustic melodies of the "Sing for Each Other" cultural exchange program, rising through the windy valley night, served as a wonderful spiritual tonic. The natural singing voices and the firm hand-holding around the glowing fire further strengthened the bond, transforming the LHSS faculty and staff collective into a true family—a place always filled with love and unity.

More than just a recreational excursion, the 2025-2026 Summer Community Retreat program successfully fulfilled its mission of connection, helping the LHSS faculty and staff recharge with positive energy. The spirit of solidarity and enthusiasm ignited at Wind Valley will serve as a solid foundation, empowering the LHSS faculty collective to confidently step into the new academic year with renewed vigor and new successes.
