1. Admission Requirements

Applicants must have graduated from undergraduate programs at domestic or foreign higher education institutions, including both Vietnamese and international applicants.

2. Admission Conditions

Applicants must satisfy one of the following conditions:

2.1. Academic Qualifications

  • Have graduated or met the requirements for recognition of graduation from an undergraduate program (or equivalent higher level) in a relevant field. For research-oriented programs, applicants must have a graduation classification of Good or higher, or have scientific publications related to the field of study and research.

  • Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree in a related field or a different field from the registered major must complete additional prerequisite courses before participating in the admission process.

  • Undergraduate degrees issued by foreign educational institutions must undergo recognition procedures in accordance with current regulations.

2.2. Foreign Language Proficiency

a) Vietnamese applicants must have foreign language proficiency at Level 3 or higher according to the Vietnamese Six-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework, demonstrated by one of the following qualifications or certificates:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a foreign language major; or a bachelor’s degree or higher from a program primarily delivered in a foreign language;

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher awarded by Duy Tan University within the past 02 years, where the program’s learning outcomes meet the foreign language requirement of Level 3 or higher according to the Vietnamese Six-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework;

  • One of the foreign language certificates equivalent to Level 3 or higher according to the Vietnamese Six-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework specified in the Appendix of Circular No. 23/2021/TT-BGDĐT dated August 30, 2021, issued by the Minister of Education and Training, or other equivalent certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training, valid within 02 years (24 months) from the date of application submission (Appendix 1).

Note: The foreign language used for admission and graduation requirements must be the same language. For applicants who submit a foreign language certificate for exemption from the admission foreign language requirement, the graduation foreign language certificate (or proof of meeting graduation requirements) must be in the same language submitted at admission.

Example: If an applicant submits a Chinese language certificate of HSK Level 3 for admission exemption, the graduation foreign language requirement must be fulfilled by submitting a Chinese language certificate of at least HSK Level 4 or higher (or equivalent proof of Chinese language proficiency).

b) Applicants who do not meet the foreign language admission requirements specified in section (a) must take an English entrance examination equivalent to B1 level under the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) at Duy Tan University.

c) Foreign applicants registering for Vietnamese-taught master’s programs must achieve Vietnamese language proficiency of Level 4 or higher according to the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners, or have graduated from a bachelor’s program (or equivalent higher level) delivered in Vietnamese; and must satisfy the requirements for a second foreign language as regulated by Duy Tan University.

2.3. Work Experience and Scientific Research Capacity

  • Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the registered major may apply immediately after graduation. For management and administration fields, in application-oriented master’s programs, relevant undergraduate fields include those directly related to the professional expertise and career areas of management and administration.

  • Scientific articles published in specialized journals with ISSN indexes, international ISI/SCOPUS-indexed articles, articles published in national or international conferences, or scientific research projects conducted during undergraduate study or employment (if any).

3. Priority Groups

Applicants belonging to the following groups are eligible for priority consideration:

a) Individuals who have worked continuously for 02 years or more (up to the deadline for submitting admission documents) in areas classified as Region 1 under current regulations on regular university and college admissions. Applicants must provide a decision on employment acceptance, transfer, or assignment issued by a competent authority or organization;

b) War invalids and individuals entitled to policies equivalent to war invalids;

c) Children of martyrs;

d) Heroes of the Armed Forces and Labor Heroes;

đ) Ethnic minority applicants who have had permanent residence for 02 years or more in areas specified in section (a);

e) Biological children of individuals who participated in resistance activities and were exposed to toxic chemicals, recognized by provincial-level People’s Committees as suffering from deformities, disabilities, or reduced ability to live independently in daily activities and study due to the consequences of chemical exposure.
