In the process of development and deeper integration of Da Nang in particular and the Central - Central Highlands region in general, the fields of culture, society, media, education, and tourism are increasingly playing important roles. The transformation of society also places growing demands on human resources with solid professional knowledge, creative thinking, adaptability, and skills to work in diverse environments.
On January 22, 2007, the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities (Khoa Khoa học Xã hội & Nhân văn) was officially established. From its early days, the Faculty has oriented itself as a unit for training and research in the fields of social sciences, culture, literature, journalism, media, and tourism, contributing to providing quality human resources for Da Nang city and the Central - Central Highlands region.

Training Linked with Practice - Developing Comprehensive Competence
With the orientation of "Training linked with research on a modern humanistic foundation," the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities not only focuses on providing a foundation of specialized knowledge but also aims to develop independent thinking, creative capacity, communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the constant changes of society.
The learning environment at the Faculty emphasizes humanistic values, respect for diversity, and encourages students to proactively discover their own strengths. Knowledge is connected to practice through experiential activities, research, professional practice, and exposure to real working environments. Through this, students have additional opportunities to build professional competence and confidently pursue their development paths after graduation.

One of the Faculty's strengths is its team of highly qualified staff and faculty with extensive teaching and research experience. Alongside its permanent faculty, the Faculty also gathers visiting lecturers, experts, and researchers from many reputable training institutions across the country.
The combination of academic knowledge, research experience, and practical exposure ensures that the Faculty's training programs are continuously updated, while also creating conditions for students to approach multi-dimensional perspectives on culture, society, and careers.
Training Programs
Currently, the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities at Duy Tan University focuses on training in the following fields:
- Literature (Applied Orientation) – Major: Literature – Journalism
- Multimedia Communications
- Vietnamese Studies – Major: Culture – Tourism
- Vietnamese Language for Foreigners
Each training program is designed with its own orientation, combining foundational knowledge, specialized expertise, and professional skills. Students are encouraged to apply knowledge to real-world situations, participate in academic activities, professional practice, and projects relevant to their chosen fields.
