On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between Vietnam and China, the 74th National Day of the People's Republic of China, the Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue province in collaboration with the Consulate General of China in Da Nang City organized the Chinese Singing Festival in the Central - Central Highlands region the first time on the afternoon of 14/10 at the Culture and Cinema Center, Hue city. Student Tran Thi Diem Quynh - Faculty of Chinese - School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Duy Tan University excellently won the third prize at the festival.

There were more than 20 performances by contestants representing 6 provinces and cities participating in the festival, including Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue and Nghe An. Diem Quynh confidently performed her part at the Festival
Bringing to the festival with the song "多想还小" (I really want to still be young), Diem Quynh said, "I have had a passion for Chinese since I was in middle school and besides I also love singing. Learning Chinese at school in recent years has helped me gain a lot of knowledge, open up new things, make me more and more interested in this language and can be more confident when communicating in Chinese."

As the only performance of Duy Tan University to attend the festival, the 2nd year student shared: "Participating as a representative of the faculty and school made me feel that I had to try hard not to displease the teachers for me. Bursts of happiness and pride when she heard her name on the winning list, an indescribable happiness. I feel that I am a lucky person, although it is not the highest award, it is the 'sweet fruit' for me for the past effort and also the pride of my family. I would like to thank the teachers in the Chinese department and the school for facilitating me to have the opportunity to participate in this exciting playground."
