The Da Nang - Nha Trang Journey 2025: Experience, Connection, and Preserving the "Memory Waves" of Youth


From December 25 to 28, 2025, students from the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, University of Languages and Social Sciences, Duy Tan University, embarked on a learning-experience journey from Da Nang to Nha Trang, concluding 2025 with meaningful, emotion-filled activities deeply imprinted with the spirit of youth. The trip was organized within the framework of the "Cognition Internship" module, aiming to help students connect specialized knowledge with practical realities while broadening their experiences, enhancing exchanges, and fostering collective bonds.

Setting Off with a Spirit of Learning and Exploration

The journey commenced from Da Nang City, carrying the students' excitement and readiness for new experiences. More than just an end-of-year excursion, this was an opportunity for students to observe, record, and learn from real-world scenarios, honing skills in organization, teamwork, communication, and adaptation in a new environment—crucial elements for students majoring in Communications and related social sciences fields.

Student Exchange - Connecting Two Universities

A key highlight of the journey was the "Harmonizing the Rhythm of Youth" exchange program between Duy Tan University and Pacific University. Through interactive activities, group games, and cultural performances, the distance between students from the two institutions quickly diminished. Smiles, handshakes, and shared understanding tightened the spirit of solidarity and affirmed the significance of student exchanges in building cooperative and friendly relationships between the two higher education institutions.

"Memory Waves" Gala Dinner - The Quietly Profound Moments of Youth

The "Memory Waves" themed Gala Dinner provided a warm, reflective yet vibrant space for all participating lecturers and students. A particular highlight of the evening was the "Lip-Sync King" competition, where student groups confidently transformed into impromptu "artists." With creativity, natural expression, and teamwork, the performances delivered hearty laughter mixed with bursts of emotion.

More than mere entertainment, the "Lip-Sync King" contest was an opportunity for students to demonstrate collective bonding, stage presence, and the courage to express themselves, contributing to a complete and memorable Gala night.

Exploring and Experiencing the Beauty of Nha Trang

Beyond exchange activities and group gatherings, students participated in a series of tours and experiences at Nha Trang's iconic landmarks. At the Stone Church (Nha Tho Da/Nui Church), students admired the ancient architecture imbued with Western influence. Long Son Pagoda offered a serene space, helping students learn more about local Buddhist beliefs and culture. Meanwhile, the Institute of Oceanography opened a vivid scientific window into marine ecosystems, sparking curiosity and a desire to explore and learn. The journey concluded at the Po Nagar Cham Towers, a distinctive Cham cultural heritage site, allowing students to clearly sense Nha Trang's cultural intersections and historical depth. Each destination was not only a tourist experience but also a valuable, practical lesson in culture, history, and knowledge.
