As part of the collaboration between SunMoon University and Duy Tan University, the exchange program between the two universities aims to promote cultural exchange among their students. The program, which will take place in January 2024 from January 8 to January 25, will be hosted at Duy Tan University. The program is jointly organized by the International Relations Office (IRO) and the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Social Sciences (FLSS).
The opening ceremony took place on the morning of January 8, 2024, with the participation of Mr. Cho Suyang, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and 30 students from SunMoon University. On behalf of Duy Tan University, Dr. Hoang Thi Huong, Vice Dean of FLSS, faculty members from the IRO, professors, and a large number of FLSS students attended the event.
Mr. Cho Suyang expressed his gratitude to Duy Tan University for its thoughtful preparation for the exchange program. Dr. Thi Huong Hoang shared: "This is the second time that students from SunMoon University have visited Duy Tan. We are delighted to welcome you, and the atmosphere today reminds us of the Green Staircase program held in July 2023. We hope that you will enjoy a fun and productive three weeks here in the beautiful coastal city of Da Nang."
Following the opening ceremony, the SunMoon students were given a tour of Duy Tan University facilities and issued library cards for their academic needs during their three-week stay. Later in the afternoon, the group moved to the 120 Hoang Minh Thao campus to participate in a team-building activity. The group games helped strengthen the bond between students from the two universities on the very first day of their meeting.
Over the course of three weeks, students from both universities will study together, participate in cultural exchange activities, and present reports at the end of each week. In addition to learning English, this program offers the South Korean students an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture, particularly that of Da Nang. The team-building activities, full of laughter, concluded the first day of SunMoon University students' visit, promising exciting experiences in the coming weeks.
