On the evening of January 25, 2024, the Gala Dinner took place, marking the end of the exchange program between SunMoon University, South Korea, and Duy Tan University. The Faculty of Foreign Languages and Social Sciences (FLSS) was responsible for organizing the activities during the three-week program.
Over the past three weeks, students from SunMoon University participated in many exciting activities, such as learning English, team building, and going to the market. In addition, they had the opportunity to connect, make new friends, and interact with many students from Duy Tan University. While the team-building activities at the first meeting helped them get acquainted and connect with each other, the Cultural Festival was one of the activities that allowed students to learn more about not only the culture of Da Nang but also other regions and ethnic groups of Vietnam.
Speaking at the Gala Dinner, M.A. Thi Nhu Hang Truong, Head of the General Department of FLSS, expressed: "We would like to extend our gratitude to SunMoon University for choosing Duy Tan University as the destination for your students' learning and cultural exchange experience. Duy Tan University in general, and the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Social Sciences in particular, are honored to have hosted you over the past three weeks. As the unit responsible for organizing the activities during this journey, we believe that we have created many enjoyable and memorable moments together with the faculty and students. While there were many joys, we acknowledge that, as with any journey, there may have been some unintentional mistakes along the way. We hope that your university, as well as the students, can offer constructive feedback to help improve future programs."
The Gala night brought much laughter and many special emotions to the South Korean students before they left Da Nang, bidding farewell to their Duy Tan friends. The exchange of gifts, the warm hugs, and the heartfelt good wishes reflected the strong bond formed in a short time together.
We look forward to meeting the students of SunMoon University again in the near future.
