Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the early new year, on January 31, 2026, at Hall G (Campus 120 Hoang Minh Thao), the English Faculty of the University of Languages and Social Sciences (ULSS), Duy Tan University, successfully organized the New Year Fest 2026 program. Aimed at strengthening solidarity and creating an environment for the holistic development of students, New Year Fest 2026 delivered a multi-ethnic festive space, truly reflecting the spirit of future global citizens.

The first and highly impressive highlight of the program was the Traditional Costumes of Nations competition. Hall G was transformed into an international fashion runway, where the beauty of heritage from all corners of the world converged.
The competition went beyond merely displaying splendid outfits; it also posed challenges regarding mindset and linguistic ability. Each contestant had to deliver a presentation entirely in English, introducing the cultural significance, historical value, and the human stories behind their chosen attire. This was a prime opportunity for English Faculty students to demonstrate a profound understanding of cultural diversity and a fluent command of a foreign language in a public setting.

Following the cultural immersion came the explosive and dynamic atmosphere of the English Faculty Talent Competition. Students surprised the entire audience with their multi-talented performances and professional, confident poise. From powerful vocal renditions and captivating modern dance moves to graceful traditional dances and limitless creative acts, each performance served as a testament to the immense vitality of Duy Tan English students. The New Year Fest 2026 stage truly became a launching pad for passions, enabling students to affirm their personal identities and hone their stage presence.

New Year Fest 2026 transcended the boundaries of a mere entertainment activity. It was an effective experiential education method, helping students develop soft skills, practice language in real contexts, and build collective identity. The event strengthened solidarity among different cohorts, fostering a friendly and profoundly humanistic learning environment.
The event left memorable moments, concluding with smiles and high spirits among both faculty and students. The success of New Year Fest 2026 reaffirms the position of the English Faculty in building a dynamic, modern, and identity-rich learning environment within ULSS, Duy Tan University.
