The 2024 Student Scientific Research Conference of the School of Languages and Social Humanities

To summarize the scientific research activities (SR) of students for the academic year 2023-2024 and to establish a basis for selecting outstanding topics to participate in student conferences at various levels, School of Languages - Social Humanities (LHSS) successfully organized the 2024 Student Scientific Research Conference on the morning of April 25, 2024. The conference provided a platform to promote creativity, scientific research abilities, and self-learning capabilities of students, while also outlining directions for the implementation of SR activities at LHSS. Additionally, it served to encourage and commend both students and faculty members who guided students in their SR endeavors.

The conference was attended by Dr. Huu Phu Nguyen, Vice Rector of Duy Tan University and Rector of LHSS; Dr. Van Khoa Bao Le, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Dr. Thi Huong Hoang, Permanent Vice Rector of LHSS; faculty members from various departments; as well as a large number of teachers and students from LHSS.

In his opening speech, Dr. Huu Phu Nguyen congratulated the students and thanked the faculty members for their dedicated guidance, enabling the students to participate in this year’s conference. He emphasized that an interest in SR would not only benefit students academically but also provide opportunities for future job prospects.

Dr. Thi Huong Hoang presented the introductory report, stating: "With a total of 19 research topics registered, and after evaluation by the Scientific Committees of the departments, most of the student projects for the 2023-2024 academic year show greater progress compared to those in 2022-2023. These topics have high scientific value, practical applicability, and especially reflect the serious working spirit of both faculty and students during the research process."

At the conference, the Organizing Committee selected 11 outstanding topics for presentation, divided into two subcommittees: the Social Sciences Subcommittee and the Foreign Languages Subcommittee. After a serious and effective working session, the subcommittees selected three topics to continue participating in the SR conference at the subcommittee level for the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and Humanities:

  • "Using Podcast Applications to Improve Listening Comprehension in Chinese for Students of the K28 Chinese Language Department, Duy Tan University" - Researcher: Thi Ngoc Na Tran, Thi Le Na Dao- Chinese Department

  • "Legal Issues in Multi-Level Marketing Business Activities" - Researcher:Thi Hong Ngoc Duong, Ha Vy Hoang - Law Department

  • "Research on Learning English Through English Songs Among Students of the English Department, Duy Tan University" - Researcher: Thi To Uyen Nguyen - English Department

For students, scientific research not only helps to develop intellectual and creative abilities, but also enhances their capacity for independent learning and research. It gradually enables them to master science and technology. We hope that the scientific spirit at NN-XHNV will continue to thrive and shine even brighter in the coming academic years.
