On the afternoon of November 24, 2025, the Japanese Language Faculty at the University of Languages and Social Sciences, Duy Tan University, successfully organized the talkshow “New Career Pathways for Japanese Language Majors,” featuring the participation of a representative from FPT Software Da Nang. The program aimed to equip fourth-year students with practical career knowledge while opening up immediate job opportunities for them on the verge of graduation.

The event attracted a large number of students from Cohort K28 of the Japanese Language Faculty, clearly demonstrating their need to understand labor market trends and their desire to connect with major corporations right from the university environment. This is one of the key activities in the Japanese Language Faculty's strategy to strengthen industry linkages, targeting the enhancement of professional competencies and supporting students in confidently integrating into professional work environments.

During the sharing session, the representative from FPT Software Da Nang provided an overview of the company, its collaborative projects with the Japanese market, and the current demand for recruiting Japanese-proficient personnel. The enterprise particularly emphasized the role of Japanese language human resources in the Information Technology sector – a field experiencing rapid growth and high demand in Vietnam.

In addition to orientation information, the FPT Software representative also offered many practical suggestions for job positions suitable for Japanese language students, such as: Japanese Translator/Interpreter in an IT environment, Project Coordinator (BrSE Assistant), Japanese Customer Support Specialist, and Internal Administration & Communication Staff. The practical insights into recruitment requirements, starting salary levels, and career development paths provided students with a clearer perspective on the career paths they could pursue.

The Q&A session was dynamic, with numerous questions from students regarding candidate evaluation criteria, necessary skills to prepare, professional work etiquette, and opportunities in an international environment. The FPT Software representative took time to answer each question in detail, while also offering advice to help students accurately self-assess their capabilities and choose suitable career directions before entering the labor market.

The talkshow provided final-year students with a comprehensive picture of career orientation, the skills they need to prepare, and job opportunities within modern corporate environments. The partnership with leading corporations like FPT Software reaffirms the continuous efforts of the Japanese Language Faculty in creating an integrated learning and professional environment, empowering students to confidently step into a competitive and potential-filled labor market.
