School of Foreign Languages - Humanities School of Science Research Student Conference 2023


In order to summarize the achievements and praise the spirit of hard work and scientific creativity of students under the guidance of lecturers, the School of Foreign Languages - Social Humanities has solemnly organized the Conference of Scientific Research Students (Scientific Research Students) in the academic year 2022-2023. The conference will take place on the afternoon of May 12, 2023 with reports of 10 topics under 2 sub-committees: Sub-Committee on Social Sciences and Sub-Committee on Foreign Languages.

Attending the program were Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu - Vice Rector of Duy Tan University, Rector of Agriculture and Social Affairs; TS. Hoang Thi Huong - Permanent Vice Rector of Agriculture and Social Sciences, Heads of Deputy Faculties, Heads of Deputy Departments, lecturers and a large number of students of the School of Foreign Languages - Social Humanities.

The 2022-2023 school year is quite special as all must be in the spirit of overcoming the difficulties from the Covid pandemic. However, the lecturers and students of the School of Foreign Languages - Social Humanities have also made great efforts to adapt and fulfill all tasks, especially in scientific activities.

With a total of 17 research registered topics, 15 research topics have been accepted by Duy Tan University, of which 3 projects achieved good grades, 11 projects achieved good grades and the rest satisfactory. Through the evaluation of comments from the Science Conference of the School of Foreign Languages - Humanities Society, most of the topics of students in the academic year 2022-2023 have more progress than the topics of the academic year 2021-2022: have good scientific content, high practical integration and especially show the serious working spirit of lecturers and students in the process of conducting research rescue.

After the presentation of the rapporteurs, the evaluation and comments of the panel, the results of the award are as follows:

1. First prize:

- Topic: An analysis of thematic roles in news articles and short stories - Lai Tan Nam, English Department

- Topic: Social media raises awareness of Duy Tan University students to limit the use of plastic waste - Hoang Mai Anh Tuan and colleagues, Faculty of Social Sciences

2. Second prize:

- Topic: Analyze difficulties and propose solutions in using the Chinese written language of K26 students, Department of Chinese, Duy Tan University - Hoang Thi Giang Sinh, Tran Thi Quynh Trang, Vo Thi Tu Trinh, Chinese Department

- Topic: Completing legal issues on payment by e-wallet in Vietnam today - Ly Thi Hieu, Nguyen Thi Thi Yen, Faculty of Law

3. Third prize:

- Topic: Difficulties in writing academic essays and solutions of language students at Duy Tan University - Tran Minh Trung and Nguyen Song Thien Bao, English Department

- Topic: Completing the law on protecting consumer information in transactions on e-commerce platforms - Phan Thi Thanh Binh and research team, Faculty of Law

4. Consolation Prize:

- Topic: Analysis of mistakes when using complementary components in Chinese of 3rd-year students of course K26, Department of Chinese, Duy Tan University - Chau Phuong Dung, Phan Tran Dieu Tam, Faculty of Chinese
