The "Drug-Free School 2024" contest was co-organized by the Department of Drug Crime Investigation (Ministry of Public Security) and the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training). The contest aimed to deliver meaningful and humanitarian messages, equipping high school and university students nationwide with knowledge and skills regarding drug prevention laws and the severe consequences of drug abuse on society. It also contributed to creating a healthy educational environment free of drug-related legal violations among students.
The contest was held as a "televised gameshow," recorded and broadcast on VTV2 and the digital platforms of Vietnam Television. It consisted of four parts:
Duy Tan University's team comprised three members: Chanh Nguyen Cao (K29LKT3), Thi Cam Ly Thai (K29LHP), and Thi Tuyen Ngan Duong (K29LHP). Chanh Nguyen shared:
"As the Secretary of the Faculty of Law and Deputy Secretary of the SLH Student Union, I deeply understand the importance of promoting social issue awareness, especially in drug prevention, among university students. Despite the tight preparation time, we gave our best effort to brainstorm ideas, practice, and convey meaningful messages through our performance. When our team was announced as the Second Prize winner, we were overjoyed. I would like to express my gratitude to the faculty advisors from the Faculty of Law and the SLH Student Union members who supported and guided us throughout the competition."
With impactful presentations and meaningful awareness activities, the LHSS student team delivered a powerful message about drug prevention and raised awareness among students and the community. The contest was not only a knowledge platform but also an opportunity for participants to showcase their creativity and commitment to building a safe and healthy school environment.
