After the presentation, each team has 5 minutes to answer questions from the judges about the content of the team's presentation. Points for each team are calculated based on 3 aspects: Presentation content, Presentation skills, Answering questions.
The White Knights team consists of members: Lai Tan Nam - Faculty of English, Nguyen Gia Han - Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nguyen Nu Thuy Linh - Faculty of English, Vo Ngoc Phuc - Faculty of English, Pham Ly Thu Thao - Faculty of English. As the only contestant who did not major in English like her peers, Gia Han shared: "This is the 2nd time I have participated in the National English Olympiad. In the past, I used to be very self-conscious because I was not in the English department, before participating in the contest I also wanted to turn around because I was surrounded by very good and excellent brothers and sisters and friends. Participating in this competition was the biggest choice I have made and has also changed me a lot. I am very grateful for the enthusiasm and encouragement from my team members, as well as being a mentor, who has made me so motivated to keep participating. After the competition I have achieved a lot of things, which are new relationships, memorable memories, confidence in myself, the National English Olympiad has also helped me study and have a lot of useful skills such as editing skills, acting, screenwriting and most importantly, English skills."
Referring to the biggest challenge when participating in this contest, Tan Nam shared: "We think the biggest difficulty after 2 rounds is in the video editing process. Since we were able to challenge ourselves for the first time with video clip shooting and editing, we were quite busy in a limited time. We had a bit of trouble preparing props and shooting space (e.g. house, food, decorations...). Moreover, because there are regulations on video length, we had to be very "measured and measured" when selecting many details so as not to exceed the time limit." The National English Olympiad 2023 is an ideal playground, creating opportunities for you to improve your soft skills as well as foreign language skills. In particular, this is also a good opportunity for students to step out of their comfort zone, challenge themselves to learn more.
