Samsung is South Korea's leading corporation (accounting for 20.3% of South Korea's GDP in 2021), with outstanding strengths in semiconductors, memory, TVs, and smartphones. Samsung continuously expands its investment scale around the world, including Vietnam. Samsung's efficient operation has contributed to promoting the development of the Electronics Industry, creating a driving force for exports, creating jobs and many other benefits for Vietnamese people. The Vietnamese Government's commitment to always create the most favorable conditions for foreign investors to cooperate in production and business for a long time, including Samsung, has created conditions for Samsung to fulfill many missions for human development that the Group has set out since its inception.
Along with expanding its business around the world, Samsung pays special attention to developing high-quality human resources, especially nurturing and developing technology talents. The SIC program has been implemented in Vietnam since 2019. Up to now, the program has attracted about 6,000 lecturers and students to participate. The program is designed on an educational foundation that combines future core technology skills with "soft" skills and practical working skills. These training contents are selected through conducting stratified surveys according to development trends in industries in different regions, combined with recruitment needs at large companies. Along with professional knowledge, the program also provides Career Skills content to complement and enhance learners throughout the program.
Students who finish the course and achieve the required results of the program will receive a certificate of completion of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) course, as well as have the opportunity to participate in many other valuable activities of the project. In particular, there is the Innovation Tech Challenge - a competition within the framework of the program to help students apply the knowledge and skills learned in the program into practice.
