Bridging Training with Workforce Supply: LHSS Students Gain Professional Experience at GGEC Vietnam

As part of the strategy to integrate training with practical application, since January 5, 2026, 32 outstanding students from the Chinese Language Faculty, University of Languages and Social Sciences (ULSS), Duy Tan University, have officially commenced their internship at Quoc Quang Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd (Vietnam) - GGEC VN. This is a golden opportunity for students not only to hone their language skills but also to directly participate in the operational processes of a company with a history spanning over 70 years.

Quoc Quang Company is a reputable name in the electronics industry, founded in 1951 in Guangzhou, China. With a development history of over 74 years, the corporation has firmly established its position on the global sound system manufacturing map. In Vietnam, Quoc Quang has experienced remarkable growth:

  • In 2019, it launched its first factory spanning over 34,000 m².
  • In 2024, it commenced operations of its second, massive factory covering over 200,000 m².
  • Currently, GGEC VN boasts a substantial workforce of over 5,000 employees, focusing on producing high-quality sound systems and individual speakers for the international market.

The internship program, running from January 5, 2026, to March 15, 2026, is the result of concerted efforts in connecting the Chinese Language Faculty with GGEC VN. With the desire to seek and develop a capable next-generation workforce with strong language skills and professional competence, Quoc Quang Company has created optimal conditions for students to access a modern working environment.

Throughout the over two-month internship, the 32 Duy Tan students will experience core values:

  • Practical Exposure: Applying specialized Chinese language knowledge within the practical environment of factory production, management, and transactions.
  • Professional Ethos Cultivation: Familiarizing themselves with the professional and disciplined work processes of a large enterprise, helping students adapt their mindset and adopt an industrial work style.
  • Career Preparation: This is a crucial transitional phase, enabling students to accumulate experience, enhance their competency profiles (CVs), and open up job opportunities immediately upon leaving university.

Sending 32 students to intern at a large-scale enterprise like Quoc Quang demonstrates the proactive approach of the Chinese Language Faculty in bridging the gap between theory and practice. Quoc Quang believes that the enthusiasm of Duy Tan's youth, combined with the professional training environment at the company, will yield positive outcomes for both parties. The internship journey at the enterprise promises to be a period of significant growth, helping students gain confidence to reach further and become active contributors to the future development of the business community.
