* The training program
Vietnam Studies, majoring in Culture and Tourism will train on a selective basis, integrating many advantages of both culture and tourism knowledge systems; equip learners with the core knowledge system of Vietnamese studies in the context of the thriving tourism industry in Vietnam; focus on increasing the content of skill subjects, equipping students with necessary professional skills; focus on increasing the content of practical teaching. Field trips to learn subject knowledge in the field are outstanding features of the Vietnamese studies training program.
Moreover, Vietnamese studies is an interdisciplinary discipline, imbued with cultural scholarship. Building an application-oriented program with a major in Culture - Tourism, students will be provided with knowledge about the culture and history of many colorful cultures when exploring the knowledge system and practical experiences about: Culinary culture, Culture of behavior, communication, costumes, music, architecture, etc. v... along with practical skills, close to career orientation in the field of Culture and Tourism after graduation.
To complete the Vietnamese studies program (majoring in Culture and Tourism) students need to accumulate 132 credits (excluding Physical Education, Defense Education and other extracurricular activities). During their studies, students will be equipped with specialized knowledge in the field of culture such as: Vietnamese festival customs, Village culture and village tourism, Beliefs of Vietnamese peoples, World Artistic Heritage and Vietnam; and subjects in the field of tourism such as: Vietnamese cuisine – theory and practice, Restaurant business, Table business, Tourism marketing, Tour guiding profession ...
The highlight of Vietnam Studies majoring in Culture and Tourism is a talent program that gives students many opportunities to improve their communication skills and advanced foreign language proficiency. In particular, they will have the opportunity to interact with students from many different countries of the ASEAN region. Cultural promotion, fieldwork and extracurricular activities will help students have more experiences and enhance their understanding of many diverse cultures of the beautiful country of Vietnam.
